Did you Know... The reason the date of Easter changes so much each year is because it is linked to the phases of the moon, rather than the normal solar year. Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon, which can occur any time between March 21st to April 18th. The full cycle of Easter dates only repeats once every 5,700,000 years! This may seem complicated, but it was originally intended to simplify matters, as the early Christians celebrated Easter on different dates in different regions, and not always on a Sunday. Even today, the Orthodox church often has a different date for Easter.
